Don Cherry doesn't think Roberto Luongo would waive his no-trade clause to play in Toronto.
"Why would he want to come here and step into the same thing as Vancouver? Every time they lose, it's his fault. He only took them to the seventh game (of the 2011 Stanley Cup final). How many goaltenders have taken them to the seventh game?" Cherry said. "I don't think he wants to step into a real hotspot like here. I think he wants to go to Florida because his wife comes from Florida." Cherry added that he thinks Luongo is a "dynamite goaltender" and the Leafs would be lucky to have him. The popular rumor right now is that Luongo will be traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs shortly after the lockout. The destination might prove to be wrong, but the odds of Luongo getting traded before Vancouver's next game seem high.
