Coach Randy Carlyle seemed to push the right buttons prior to Wednesday's game against Pittsburgh because after he called out Mikhail Grabovski and James van Riemsdyk, both players helped propel Toronto over Pittsburgh.
Van Riemsdyk netted two goals and added an assist, while Grabovski registered a goal and a helper in a 5-2 victory for the Leafs. "We got a response from (van Riemsdyk) and (Grabovski)," said Carlyle. "It's not done specifically to criticize a player - it's to motivate the player and help him." The two of them will be counted on even more now that Joffrey Lupul is expected to miss several weeks with a fractured forearm.
