Cam Ward is frustrated with his rusty start to the 2013 campaign, but he feels like he is working his way back into game shape.
"Obviously it's been a tough adjustment with the long layoff and a frustrating process," Ward said after allowing four goals in Monday's loss to Boston. "I expect myself to be up to my potential right off the bat, and it's been hard. I thought tonight was the best I've felt in the first few games, and I just have to keep working at it." He has surrendered eight goals in the four first periods he has played this season, but that sharpness should return with time. Ward managed to turn his game around last season despite some struggles and we think he'll do the same this year as well.
