Blake Wheeler hasn't scored a goal in his past 11 games, but he contributed two more assists in Tuesday's comeback win over Florida.
The helpers were his 45th and 46th of the season to give him 63 points in 78 contests. Wheeler has tallied seven assists during his goalless drought and he has remained upbeat despite sitting at 17 markers. "I'm going to play the same way I've been playing," he said prior to Tuesday's match against Florida. "Pretty much every game I've had four, five or six shots. You go through stretches where it just doesn't seem to go in the net. I don't think I'm doing anything differently. There were a couple games I wasn't happy with in that stretch, and from there I've picked it up. I'm trying to finish strong. It's going to be a long summer, so you want to go into it knowing that you left everything on the table."
