At 42, Teemu Selanne is near the end of a career that will put him in the Hockey Hall of Fame but the Anaheim Ducks' winger, whose 663 goals are 12th on the NHL's all-time list, said he only occasionally thought about having it end during a lockout if the season were canceled.
"Obviously, I decided right away that this is not about me," Selanne said. "This is about the future for hockey players and if this is going to take the whole year, I can live with that. Like I said earlier, I'm in overtime. I've never even dreamed to play this long time and enjoy this game this much.Either way, I would be a happy camper. But obviously, of course, you always want to play your last game."
