Anaheim GM Bob Murray must decide what he will do with impending unrestricted free agents Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf.
Both players will become UFA's if they are not re-signed by July 1, and Murray will have a big decision on whether to deal them or risk getting nothing in return should the duo or either one decide to bolt and test free agency. "It's my priority," Murray said, addressing the topic on the first day of training camp Sunday. "They've been Anaheim Ducks. I love those guys. I'm going to do everything in my power to sign them." While there were negotiations before the lockout, everything had to be placed on hold during the 119 day work stoppage but Murray plans on getting together with their respective agents shortly. It will be a huge blow to the Ducks if they should lose any one or both of their stars.
