All aboard the Landeskog express! Patient owners have been treated recently to the tune of 12 points -- seven of them goals -- in the last 10 games by the Colorado captain. Landeskog scored his 16th goal of the season and added an assist in a 5-4 shootout win over the Stars on Friday.

The resurgence continues for Landy, who's now rattled off six goals and nine points in the last eight games. The Avs' captain is certainly doing his best to redeem himself with owners who have been saddled with one of the biggest fantasy disappointments of the year, as his 40 points and minus-5 rating are still well off the mark of his 65-point, plus-21 campaign from 2013-14. Landeskog does, however, have 11 power-play points, surpassing last year's 10, so if he can continue his run of strong play, his ledger may not wind up being that disappointing, after all.

Landeskog scored for the fifth game in a row Friday, and also added an assist in a 4-1 road win over Chicago.Talk about market correction! Until his five-game goal outburst, Landeskog was struggling with a career-low 6.8 shooting percentage. Now, it's back up to 9.1 percent, which is more in line with his career mark of 9.4. The Swedish captain still has just 37 points in 59 games this year after 2013-14's 65-point effort, but he's got nine points the last 11, so it's better late than never for owners who have been oh-so-patient with the 22-year-old.

Landeskog scored a goal in his third straight game Monday against the Coyotes. Additionally, he chipped in four hits in his 16:06 of ice time.Landeskog fell two minutes short of his season average in ice time in the game, but that was likely a byproduct of coach Patrick Roy resting some of his top players in the third period while the Avs held a commanding lead. More notable is the scoring surge for Landeskog, who like just about every Colorado forward this season, has generally failed to fulfill preseason expectations. Last year's marks of 65 points and plus-21 are certainly out of the question for Landeskog, but the 22-year-old's strong pedigree makes him an attractive waiver wire if his owner in shallower formats previously cut him loose.
