Nystrom (lower body) will not skate in Game 6 against Chicago on Saturday, Kristopher Martel of FOX Sports reports.

Nystrom hasn't taken the ice since Mar. 3 so his Saturday scratch is not all that surprising. However, he's back at practice and could rejoin his team in competition soon if the Predators can find a way to edge out the Blackhawks.

Nystrom (lower body) skated on his own Wednesday morning, John Glennon of The Tennessean reports.

Nystrom's absence from line rushes during the Preds' morning session rules the winger out for their postseason opener Wednesday against the Blackhawks. He hasn't played since March 3 with the injury, and it seems unlikely that coach Peter Laviolette has designs of bringing him back in the lineup in the near future due to his lengthy absence.

Nystrom (lower body) remains sidelined, according to Brooks Bratten of NHL.com.

As the postseason approaches, it remains unclear when Nystrom will return to the Preds' lineup, making him a risky roll for Nashville backers in playoff pools.

Nystrom (lower body) participated in Tuesday's morning skate, John Glennon of The Tennessean reports.

Nystrom rotated in with the third line during the session, but he won't be a candidate to enter the lineup Tuesday versus the Canucks. Instead, the Predators would probably like to see Nystrom get in some more contact work during practices after he missed the previous 12 games with the injury. His eventual return will give the Preds an added dose of physicality in their bottom-six ranks, but he's not expect to offer many contributions in the fantasy realm.

Nystrom (lower body) will not travel with the Predators during their two-game road trip that begins Thursday in Tampa Bay.

Nystrom still looks to be a ways off of a return. The winger, who has primarily slotted into a bottom-six role this season, hasn't played since March 3.

Nystrom (lower body) is expected to be out for the next four weeks, Mike Organ of The Tennessean reports.

Nystrom was forced out of Tuesday's game against the Devils, and he's now in danger of missing the rest of the regular season. It would seem his best-case scenario is a return for the final few games in order to prepare for the playoffs.

Coach Peter Laviolette indicated that Nystrom (lower body) remains under evaluation, John Glennon of The Tennessean reports.

Laviolette's words would seem to suggest that Nystrom's injury is being viewed as more than a day-to-day situation, so it probably wouldn't be wise to bet on a return to action over the next handful of games. As a fourth-line player with only seven goals and 12 points in 60 games, Nystrom's absence probably won't make many ripples in the fantasy realm.

Nystrom left Tuesday's game against the Devils with a lower-body injury, John Glennon of The Tennessean reports.

Nystrom skated seven shifts and logged 5:56 of ice time before departing. The Predators should provide an update on his condition prior to Thursday's game against the Islanders, but he'll retain the day-to-day designation for now.

Nystrom registered an assist during Tuesday's 3-2 OT win over the Lightning.Nystrom now has just two points in 10 games since returning from a five-game stint on the IR back in mid-January. Playing mainly on the Preds' fourth line with Paul Gaustad and Taylor Beck, his opportunities to contribute offensively will continue to be very limited. As such, he should be owned in very deep fantasy formats only.

Nystrom (upper body) appears on track to play Tuesday against Montreal.

Nystrom, who last suited up on Jan. 6, has been limited to nine points and eight PIM in 39 games thus far, so a wait-and-see approach is in order in all but the deepest of formats.
