A terrific game for Kulikov, who had gone eight straight without reaching the scoresheet. He flashes hints of his high-end potential here and there, but Kulikov's points have been too few and far between this year, as he has just 18 in 56 games, though at least he's added 46 PIM, 80 hits and 71 blocks.

Kulikov has no history of suspensions, which should work in his favor. However, it's more than likely he'll miss at least a few games as a result of Friday's incident.

Kulikov received a five-minute major for clipping and a 10-minute game misconduct Friday for a hit he dished out on Star's forward Tyler Seguin.Kulikov caught Seguin with a low hit that upended him just inside the Florida blueline. The incident occurred with 6:55 remaining in regulation and sent Seguin, the NHL's third-leading scorer, sprawling to the ice. Seguin left the game and did not return. He is expected to miss time. Kulikov is fourth on the Panthers in average ice time this season at 21:50 and has no history of suspensions. That could definitely change now, as we should know more in the coming few days.

Kulikov assisted on Sean Bergenheim's game-winning power-play goal Thursday against the Blue Jackets.

Bergenheim deflected Kulikov's shot with 6:52 remaining off the ice and into the net for the deciding tally. The 2009 first-rounder has yet to deliver the offense the Panthers were counting on when they drafted him 14th overall, but he should still be able to maintain some relevance in deeper formats.

Kulikov didn't play Friday due to the flu, and didn't practice Saturday either. It appears he is feeling healthy enough to return Sunday, and he will look to add to his point total (12) while trying to keep the Oilers off the scoreboard.
