Crawford stopped all 13 shots he faced in relief of Scott Darling in Saturday's series-clinching Game 6 win over the Predators.

With Scott Darling having given up seven goals in his last two appearance, it look as if Crawford is back to being the man for Chicago. He's struggled in these playoffs, but the 30-year-old is a proven playoff performer and will get a fresh start in Round 2. Crawford owns a .917 career playoff save percentage, so expect Joel Quenneville to give him another shot when the Blackhawks take on the winner of the Blues and Wild series in the second round. He'll be on a short leash one again, though, so don't be surprised if you see Darling again in these playoffs.

Crawford will back up Scott Darling for Game 5 on Thursday night against Nashville, CSN Chicago reports.

Scott Darling's 50-save game on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning secured his slot as the starting goalie for presumably the rest of the series with Nashville; but don't believe that Hawks' coach Joel Quenneville has decided on Darling being in goal for the rest of the playoffs. Quenneville could go back to Crawford for the next series even if Darling shuts down the Predators on Thursday night and the Blackhawks move on against either St. Louis or Minnesota.

Crawford will backup Scott Darling in goal for Game 3 against Nashville at home on Sunday, Chicago Tribune reports.

Hawks' coach Joel Quenneville said that the starting goalie will be decided on a game-by-game basis. Crawford has not been good in goal in the first two games of this series to Nashville, but also dating back to the Stanley Cup Western Conference finals last season. In his last eight playoff games, Crawford has allowed an average of 4.5 goals per game. He has allowed at least three goals in each game during that stretch against the Kings and Predators. In this series with the Predators, the Blackhawks defense though has not helped him out by allowing Nashville to park in front of Crawford. It's doubtful that Quenneville will completely go away from Crawford who has been solid the last few years for the Blackhawks, but the Blackhawks need to win both Games 3 and 4 at home.

Crawford allowed six goals on 35 shots in Friday's Game 2 loss to the Predators.

Crawford's had an awful start to the playoffs, allowing nine goals on 47 shots (.808 save percentage) in his first two games. While Scott Darling was outstanding in relief in Game 1, Crawford posted a .924 save percentage in the regular season and was Chicago's backstopper when they won the Stanley Cup in 2013. Although it's possible Darling gets the nod in Game 3, expect the Blackhawks to stick with the proven and more experienced Crawford.

Crawford will receive the start in goal for Friday's Game 2 matchup against the Predators.

Coach Joel Quenneville called it "no-brainer" to stick with Crawford one day after he surrendered three first-period goals before backup Scott Darling came on to stop all 42 shots he faced en route to the Game 1 victory. Darling has been one of the league's better No. 2 netminders this season, but Quenneville won't have his opinion swayed by one bad period for Crawford, who has been quite good in his own right for most of the season. Crawford could, however, be subjected to a quick pull if he lets in a couple goals early in Game 2.

Crawford was pulled after the first period of Game 1 against Nashville in the Stanley Cup opening round after allowing three goals on a dozen shots.

With the Blackhawks facing a 3-0 deficit heading into the second period on Wednesday night, Hawks' coach Joel Quenneville opted to turn to Scott Darling who was impressive as he stopped all 42 shots on goals. The Blackhawks would win 4-3 in two overtimes. Despite allowing the three goals, there is a good chance that Quenneville goes back to Crawford in Game 2 on Friday night. If they go back to Crawford, he will have another short leash on him in Game 2. The Blackhawks defense and Crawford deserved equal blame for giving up the three goals.

Crawford will be between the pipes for Game 1 of the Blackhawks' first-round playoff series against the Predators, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.

Crawford finished the regular season with a .937 save percentage over his final five games, though he was on the losing end of 2-1 decisions in each of his last three contests. The Blackhawks' offense should get a significant boost with the return of Patrick Kane (collarbone) to the lineup Thursday, which should enable Crawford to get back on the winning track soon if he's able to hold up to his end of the bargain. Crawford won both of his previous matchups with the Predators this season, posting a 2.34 GAA and .917 save percentage in those outings.

Crawford saved 23 of 25 shots Thursday in St. Louis, but took a 2-1 loss.

That's three straight 2-1 losses for Crawford -- two of them to the Blues -- but he's still on a four-game streak with a .920 save percentage or better. Blame the Blackhawks' offense for taking a pre-playoff vacation.

Crawford has been confirmed as the starter in goal for Thursday's game against the Blues, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

The Blues will counter with Jake Allen in their net, as both teams jockey for positioning in the Central Division. Crawford has dominated the Blues throughout his career, posting a 12-3-3 record, 2.24 GAA, and .917 save percentage over 18 outings.
