Bollig scored the first goal in Sunday's Game 3 win over the Canucks.

Bollig hadn't found twine since Feb. 2 until his wrist shot got past Canucks goalie Eddie Lack to kick off the night's scoring. The winger is best known for his skills as a fighter, which he put on display during the skirmish late in the Game 2 loss.

Bollig (illness) is traveling to join the team but won't play Monday against the Sharks, Roger Millions of Sportsnet Calgary reports.

The Flames will be without Bollig's services for a second straight game Monday due to the illness. However, it appears the worst of it is behind him, as he will join the team in San Jose. While he won't return against the Sharks, it seems likely he'll be back for Thursday's game against the Kings.

He hasn't been ruled out for Monday's game, but he would have to travel to San Jose on his own if he were to make the trip. Bollig potted his first goal of the season in Monday's 5-2 win over the Jets.

Bollig collected just his third point of the season, and first since Nov. 2, in the win. He may add a few more points here and there along the way, but there's not much fantasy upside here.

Bollig is expected to be a healthy scratch for Thursday's game against the Coyotes, the Calgary Herald reports.

The Flames are looking to jumpstart Bollig, who has only two points and a minus-2 in 17 games. Bollig has only 16 points in 142 career games anyway, so this shouldn't change your fantasy plans much.

Look for the Calgary Flames to give the recently acquired Brandon Bollig a bigger role than he had in Chicago.

Bollig saw fourth line action with the Blackhawks and still managed seven goals and 14 points last season while dishing out 203 hits. "The more you play, the better you feel, I think," Bollig said. "I loved my role here in Chicago, but when you change teams, you get the new look and new coaches think different things about certain roles and certain players. I'm excited to see where this takes me and, hopefully, expand my role and have a good exciting season up in Calgary. My time here in Chicago was amazing, and I'll never forget it. But it's going to be fun to help rebuild that organization." Look for Bollig to go from 10 minutes per game of action to 12-14, and get 12-15 goals and 25-30 points.

The Calgary Flames have acquired Brandon Bollig from the Chicago Blackhawks for the 83rd pick in this year's entry draft.

With the salary cap set at $69 million, the Hawks were forced to shed some salary. Bollig just signed a 3-year extension at $1.25 million per season and the Hawks just couldn't afford to keep him with the cap $2 million less than what it could have been. Bollig, who registered a mere 14 points in 125 NHL games with the Hawks, may be able to land a slightly bigger role in Calgary than he had on a loaded Chicago squad but he still should not be high on anyone's fantasy radar.

Brandon Bollig is eligible to get back into Chicago's lineup for Game 1 of the Western Conference Final.

He was suspended for two playoff games for boarding Minnesota defenseman Keith Ballard. Bollig was back with regular-season linemates Marcus Kruger and Ben Smith on the fourth unit at practice on Thursday. "Our role during the season, we kind of knew we were going to be out there against another team's top one or two lines," Bollig said. "So you kind of know when they come over the boards, so are we. So it's nice that he put us back together. I don't know if that's the role we're going to play again. Hopefully, [it is]. But if it is, we're going to be ready for that."
