Lindback signed a one-year deal with the Coyotes on Wednesday, reports.

Lindback, who has posted a career .905 save percentage and 2.83 goals against average in 111 NHL appearances to date, is now in line to back up Mike Smith next season. In his new team context, Lindback figures to be a hit-or-miss fanasy option when he is called upon by the Coyotes to start.

Lindback made 36 saves in a 2-0 loss to Pittsburgh on Saturday.

He earned the game's third star for his efforts -- he really stood on his head at times. It's interesting that his numbers (GAA and save percentage) in sad-sack Buffalo (2.81, .923) are significantly better than what he delivered in supposedly-better Dallas this season (3.71, .875). We're not sure what it bodes for his future, as the Sabres will be bad for a few more years. But he does have some potential.

Lindback will be between the pipes for Saturday's game against the Penguins.

Matt Hackett was a candidate to draw a start for the season finale, but since he has only recently recovered from a bout with knee soreness, the Sabres decided it was for the best to stick with Lindback a second straight night. The loss to the Blue Jackets on Friday guaranteed that the Sabres would finish with the league's worst record, so there's plenty of incentive for Lindback and his mates to turn in a competitive performance Saturday, especially if it means preventing the visiting Penguins from reaching the playoffs. That being said, the Sabres don't match up favorably with the Penguins in the talent department, which will most likely force Lindback to end the season on a losing note.

Lindback stopped 36 of 39 shots in Friday's loss to the Blue Jackets.

An outstanding performance from Lindback, who lost for just the second time in five games. With the Sabres closing out the regular season Saturday, Lindback makes for an interesting fantasy play, as Buffalo is taking on the Penguins, who need two points in order to make the playoffs. While he's had a rough season, Lindback is finishing strong, having stopped 85 of the last 91 shots he's faced. If you're feeling like taking a gamble, Lindback could be worth a start against the desperate Penguins.

Lindback will be between the pipes for Friday's game against the Blue Jackets, John Vogl of the Buffalo News reports.

For all the talk of the Sabres' tanking to secure the league's worst record, Lindback has been doing his best to compromise those efforts. After a 49-save performance Monday to clip the Hurricanes, Lindback's record now stands at 4-6-2 to go along with an impeccable .923 save percentage over his 14 outings with the Sabres. The team's lack of offensive playmakers will still make Lindback the underdog Friday, but expect him to deliver another competitive showing. With the Sabres set to play again Saturday in their finale against the Penguins, Friday's outing could be the last of the season for Lindback.

Lindback stopped a career-high 49 of 52 shot attempts to capture a 4-3 win over the Hurricanes on Monday.

Lindback was under siege early but held steady, stopping 23 shots just in the first period. Despite the drastic discrepancy in shots, the Sabres actually managed to build a 4-0 lead late in second period, before the Hurricanes finally broke Lindback over the game's last 22 minutes to make the final margin more respectable. Those looking purely for stabilization in save percentage could benefit from rostering Lindback, who upholds a .923 mark over his 14 games, but he's a risk in just about every other department from a fantasy perspective. By virtue of the sheer number of shots he faces, his GAA is prone to inflation, and wins don't come easily either as a member of the NHL's worst team.

Lindback will start in net Monday against the Hurricanes, Paul Hamilton of WGR 550 AM reports.

Lindback received a night off Saturday, but will return to the net Monday as the Sabres near the end of a woefully bad season. He allowed seven goals in his last two appearances, but will receive some relief Monday facing a Hurricanes squad that has a hard time finding the back of the net.

Lindback gave up four goals on 36 shots in Friday's loss to the Blackhawks.

Lindback has now given up seven goals in his last two appearances, dropping his save percentage to .903 on the season. While this loss was just his first defeat in three games, he still owns a lackluster 5-14-2 record and 3.17 GAA on the season. He's likely to start the final few games for the Sabres, but with the way Buffalo has struggled, don't expect much from the 26-year-old.

Lindback will start Friday's game against the Blackhawks.

Lindback is looking for a third consecutive victory, after picking up his fourth and fifth wins of the season against the hapless Coyotes and Maple Leafs. Things probably won't come so easy against the Blackhawks, but Lindback does at least have home-ice advantage.

Lindback allowed three goals on 27 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Maple Leafs.

Although Lindback didn't play particularly well, he was able to pick up his second straight victory, and moved to 5-13-2 on the season. With Buffalo struggling as much as they have this year, it's probably best to stay away from Lindback for now in most fantasy leagues.
