Niklas Hjalmarsson suggested that he might have given Chicago something of a hometown discount when he inked his five-year/$20.5 million contract. "Maybe I could have gotten more somewhere else but I make a lot of money so I don't really have to think about that too much," said Hjalmarsson. "I really like playing for Chicago. I've been here for my whole career overseas and it pretty much feels like home. To imagine playing for a different team is tough for me because I feel so much for the city and for the team." Hjalmarsson is a top-four defenseman that blocks shots and kills penalties. That being said, he doesn't do much offensively.
