David Desharnais and the Montreal Canadiens have agreed to a four-year extension worth $14 million.
He is currently playing in the final season of a two-year deal. Desharnais has tallied eight goals and 16 points in 27 games this campaign, but he hasn't matched the same consistency he displayed in 2011-12 when he broke out offensively with 16 goals and 60 points over 81 contests.
