Jimmy Howard got exactly what he needed in a 2-1 win over Edmonton on Saturday afternoon.

He made 23 saves in a solid outing to end his personal two-game losing streak. Howard isn't in danger of losing the club's top job, but rookie Petr Mrazek was great against the Blues Thursday so he may have felt the need to reestablish himself as the team's unquestioned starter. However, he still has a lot of work to do to improve his .897 save percentage and 2.86 GAA.
