Center Jamie Benn returned to his old form Monday night with his first two goals of the season and an assist in the Dallas Stars' 3-2 victory over the Avalanche in Colorado.
Benn, who missed the first few games of the season because of a contract holdout, scored an unassisted goal at 2:21 of the first period, assisted on Brenden Morrow's first goal of the season later in the period and delivered the game winner at 15:29 of the second period. Look for Benn to step it up big-time from here on in. Only 23, he's a first-rate player.
