Shane Doan (lower body) was on the ice Thursday with his Phoenix teammates for the first time at training camp.
He sat out the team's first two on-ice practices and Wednesday night's scrimmage because of a minor injury. Doan is hopeful that he will be able to play on Saturday in the Coyotes' opener.
