Kyle Quincey D DET Jul 27 '78

Kyle Quincey is "excited" for his Central Hockey League debut with the Denver Cutthroats.

Quincey will make his debut Friday at the Denver Coliseumis and is scheduled to play 20 minutes a night. "Oh geez, he's going to play 20 minutes a night," Cutthroats coach Derek Armstrong said. "This is a great bunch of guys and he's among four or five guys on this team with NHL experience. Eventually he's going back to the Detroit Red Wings, who lost Nicklas Lidstrom, and he's a top-four NHL defenseman. He has to play hockey somewhere. He doesn't want to go to Europe. His (girlfriend) works here. He's going to play 20 minutes a night, I'll tell you right now. Probably won't kill penalties, because I don't know if he's going to block shots or not, to be honest with you, but he'll run our power play and play against the top line every night. He's here to play hockey. It's truly not a PR stunt."
