Wayne Simmonds has reportedly signed with Eispiraten Criummitschau GmbH to play with a tier II team in Germany.
His agent, Chris Stewart, confirmed the deal to CSNPhilly.com on Monday afternoon. Simmonds enjoyed a career-year offensively with Philadelphia last season, while registering 28 goals, 49 points and 114 penalty minutes in 82 games. His efforts earned him a six-year contract extension last month.
