Dustin Byfuglien's impaired boating charge was dropped Monday, as he plead guilty to careless boating.
The Jets defenseman was sentenced to 30 days of community service, 28 of which were suspended for a year, was slapped with a $1,000 fine. Byfuglien was stopped by police on Aug. 31, 2011, at Lake Minnetonka in Minnesota for driving without navigation lights and endangering the safety of others. He also faced charges of boating while intoxicated and refusing to submit a police blood or urine test.
