Carey Price G MON Jul 03 '12
Carey Price is hoping that he will be in the prime of his career by the time his new six-year contract expires.
"I'll be 30 when this deal expires and that's when I should be in my prime," he said "I hope I've had a few good seasons and a Stanley Cup or two and I'll be set for my next contract." Only Nashville's Pekka Rinne ($7 million) Henrik Lundqvist, of the New York Rangers, ($6.875 million) have higher cap hits than Price's $6.5 million among the league's netminders, which will give him a great deal to live up to starting with next year. "There's always pressure," he said. "The contract may make me a target, but I'm confident and looking forward to the season."
