According to the contract signed by Dan Boyle in 2008, there is a modified no-trade clause that kicks in July 1.
The first four years of the deal he signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning were no-trade although Boyle did agree to waive that clause when dealt to the Sharks. Doug Wilson now has a limited opportunity trade the offensive defenseman but would want a lot back in a deal from any team.
