Sharks general manager Doug Wilson revealed Monday that Brent Burns underwent surgery for a sports hernia.
The 27-year-old was said to have played over 20 games at the end of the season with discomfort in his lower abdomen, but nothing was released regarding his health until now. Burns should be fine for the start of training camp.
