Ellis and the Predators agreed to a new contract Thursday, according to the Tennessean. Terms of the deal were not immediately released, but are expected to be announced when Ellis is expected to report to training camp in Nashville. Ellis, who last season ranked third among Predators defensemen in points with 27, is now expected to reprise his role as a top-six blueliner heading into this season.
