Marc Methot suffered an injury while getting ready for the 2014 World Championships. Methot will miss the tournament for "precautionary reasons." There's no official word on what his injury was, but he reportedly experienced back soreness. Given that his top priority is obviously the Senators, it's not surprising that he would be shutdown rather than attempting to play through it.
