Matt Hendricks got the Oilers on the board just 6:43 into the first period in Sunday's 2-1 win over Carolina. His centering pass bounced off Hurricanes defenseman Jay Harrison and into the net to give him credit for his fifth goal of the season. Hendricks also posted four hits and three blocks in the contest. "He's quietly turning into the heartbeat of our team," coach Dallas Eakins said of the hard-working Hendricks.
