Hedman left Thursday's practice early with an undisclosed injury, but is still expected to play Friday against the Blackhawks, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports. It's not clear what transpired during the practice that resulted in the injury, but coach Jon Cooper suggested afterward that Hedman's removal was just precautionary. Assuming he's able to get back on the ice for morning skate on Friday, Hedman should be available for his usual minutes in the game later that evening.
