Smith recorded an assist in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Stars. Smith, who had gone five games without a point, checks in with nine goals and 22 points in 47 games to date. He's down from his 2013-14 pace (51 points in 82 games), but given that he typically works with Brad Marchand (who is slated to return from a two-game suspension Wednesday against the Avs) and Patrice Bergeron, there's room for improvement on Smith's part as the season progresses.
