Rinaldo will have an in-person hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Wednesday following his illegal check to the head of the Pens' Kris Letang in Tuesday's game, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports. Rinaldo picked up a 10-game misconduct and five-minute major penalty for the hit on Letang, who never returned to the game. Fortunately, Letang was able to resume skating Wednesday, which would work well in Rinaldo's favor to avoid a lengthy suspension. The fourth-liner has a history of nefarious play, as he's previously been handed suspensions for illegal hits on two occasions over the last three seasons.
