Elliott was ineffective Saturday against the Hurricanes. He allowed three goals on 10 shots and was relieved by Jake Allen. Coach Ken Hitchcock yanked him because he was shaky and so was the team in front of him. The move worked and allowed the Blues get back in the game. It might just be a blip, but Allen was great in relief and could steal time from Elliott.
