Montoya faced just five shots, but allowed the deciding goal in relief of Roberto Luongo in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Capitals. Montoya entered the game in the third period to replace Luongo after the starter suffered a hit to the head earlier in the game. It's not clear yet how much, if any, time Luongo will miss, but Montoya will be the likely replacement if the Panthers are without their starting goalie for any amount of time.
