Hoffman found the back of the net in the third period of Saturday's overtime victory over the Bruins. With his 12th goal of the season, Hoffman overtook Clarke MacArthur for the team lead, making him one of the more unheralded top scorers of any team in the NHL. Re-signed to a two-way deal over the summer, there was no guarantee Hoffman would even break the roster out of training camp, but he's since emerged as one of the team's best snipers. It's a trait he displayed time and time again in the AHL last season, so there's reason to believe Hoffman can remain productive while holding down a role on the Sens' top-six and power play. The winger has recorded a point in three consecutive games, going plus-4 during that stretch.
