Matt Ware DB ARI 5 Hrs Arizona Cardinals Ware's agent is denying an NFL.com report that Ware and the Cardinals have agreed upon a multi-year contract, the Arizona Republic reports. The agent, Audie Attar, said on Tuesday night that the two sides were "still engaged in positive negotiations." Ware was a Cardinal from 2006-09. If he returns to Arizona in 2010, he will probably come off the bench in nickel and dime situations, although he could push Kerry Rhodes for the Cardinals' starting free safety role. | Nick Eason DL PIT 5 Hrs Pittsburgh Steelers The Cardinals might move quickly in an effort to sign Eason, who reportedly has an offer on the table from the Steelers, the Arizona Republic reports. Eason met with Arizona officials on Tuesday. The Cardinals like his versatility. His primary position is defensive end, but he can also play nose tackle. Wherever he ends up, Eason should be a backup in 2010. Pittsburgh is probably his most likely destination, since he was a Steeler from 2006-09. | Antonio Bryant WR TB 9 Hrs Tampa Bay Buccaneers The Dolphins have talked to the agent for Bryant, according to the Miami Herald/twitter. The interest seems to be lukewarm at best. Bryant and GM Bill Parcells have a history together, and it's not good, as Parcells released Bryant for disciplinary reasons, although they have patched things up since then. | Antonio Bryant WR TB 14 Hrs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Bryant is slated to visit the Redskins, the Tampa Tribune reports. The Bengals, who he visited with Tuesday, are definitely in the mix for Bryant, but they are also kicking the tires on Terrell Owens. Bryant would probably have a better chance to be the top option in Washington, but lining up opposite Chad Ochocinco, with Carson Palmer behind center, has some upside too. | LaDainian Tomlinson RB SD 14 Hrs San Diego Chargers Tomlinson is expected to visit with the Vikings on Thursday, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports. It looks like Tomlinson may be the Vikings' top choice to take over the third-down role previously held by Chester Taylor. If he does sign with the Vikings, Tomlinson isn't going to supplant Adrian Peterson as the team's starter, but an opportunity to contribute to a potential Super Bowl contender could well outweigh a chance to start for a rebuilding squad at this stage in his career. | Chester Taylor RB MIN 14 Hrs Minnesota Vikings Taylor, who recently signed with the Bears, is expected to share running back duties with Matt Forte in 2010 NFL.com reports. "We have two starters," offensive coordinator Mike Martz said. "That's how we look at it. We're fortunate to have two starters...They will share duties." Forte has been the team's featured back for the past two seasons, but he struggled in 2009, and the Bears brought in Taylor to try and improve their running game. If Taylor and Forte do end up splitting carries this season, it's hard to imagine either one being a top tier fantasy back. | Kevin Faulk RB NE 14 Hrs New England Patriots Faulk has received a contract offer from the Patriots, NECN.com reports. Evidently it wasn't entirely to his liking and it's possible he could visit some other teams, but the fit is good, for both Faulk and the Patriots, so don't be surprised if the two sides work things out in time. | |
