Kenny Phillips DB NYG 9 Hrs
New York Giants

Phillips is ahead of schedule in his rehab from knee surgery, the Newark Star-Ledger reports. He won't start running until March 29, but barring a setback should be ready for training camp.

Phillips' return to form is a key to the Giants ability to rebuild their defense.

Pierre Thomas RB NO 13 Hrs
New Orleans Saints

Thomas scored the Saints' first touchdown of the game in Sunday's Super Bowl, a 16-yard reception on a screen pass. He ended the game having rushed for 30 yards and chipping in another 55 in receiving yards in leading the Saints to their first championship in franchise history.

Thomas's touchdown, following the Saints' recovery of a gutsy onside kick to start the half, helped shift the momentum of the game. Despite getting stuffed on a fourth and one run from the Colts' one yard line, Thomas seemed to have gained the trust of the Saints' coaching staff that he can be an every-down back. Fantasy owners next year can only hope that Thomas is able to avoid the time share backfield rotation that cuffed what would have been great numbers this year.

Marques Colston WR NO 14 Hrs
New Orleans Saints

After dropping the first pass thrown his way, Colston rebounded in a big way, catching seven passes for 83 yards in helping lead the Saints to their first Super Bowl victory in franchise history.

Colston bounced back from a poor NFC Championship game to tie for the team lead in receptions. With the Colts defense geared towards protecting form a big play, Drew Brees was able to hit Colston with underneath routes throughout the game. Colston was a rock of consistency this year, playing in every game. With Drew Brees throwing him the ball, Colston can be expected to post excellent numbers next year as well when the Saints look to defend their crown.

Reggie Bush RB NO 14 Hrs
New Orleans Saints

Bush rushed for 25 yards and added another 38 yards receiving in helping the Saints win their first championship in franchise history in Sunday's Super Bowl.

While his numbers were not eye-popping, Bush followed the Saints game plan perfectly, taking what the Colts gave him and moving the chains on a couple of occasions. Bush's offseason will be one to watch, as he is due a large pay bump. However, he finished the year strong and showcased a more mature, patient playing style that will hopefully continue to progress next year.

Drew Brees QB NO 15 Hrs
New Orleans Saints

Brees tied the Super Bowl record for most completions, all the while throwing for 288 yards, two touchdown, and being named the Super Bowl MVP in leading the Saints to a championship on Super Sunday.

Brees is, simply put, the heart and soul of this New Orleans team. His performance and leadership were the main reason why the Saints left Miami as the world champions. Brees's play this postseason, out-dueling three sure-fire Hall of Famers, cemented his status as one of the elite quarterbacks in the game. Expect him to be the first quarterback taken in next year's fantasy drafts, and potentially the first overall player off the board.

Justin Rogers LB KC 16 Hrs
Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs released Rogers on Monday, the Chiefs' official site reports.

Rogers was a special teams player who played in one game for the Chiefs before landing on injured reserve in December.

Donte' Stallworth WR CLE 17 Hrs
Cleveland Browns

The Browns have terminated Stallworth's contract, ESPN.com reports.

Stallworth, who has been reinstated by the NFL after serving a one-year suspension for his DUI manslaughter conviction, has an uphill battle to get himself back on the fantasy radar, but he figures at least to get a chance for a fresh start with a wideout-hungry squad.
