The Post-Dispatch projects Brian Quick and Chris Givens as the Rams' starting outside receivers.

Tavon Austin is locked into the slot and Jared Cook will be moved all over the formation as a "move" tight end. Austin Pettis, Stedman Bailey and Lance Kendricks will be talented reserves. "We're going to lobby with the league to see if we can play with more than one ball," coach Jeff Fisher said. Although Quick is likely to start, his Dynasty arrow is pointing down. The Rams acquired some serious pass-catching talent this offseason.

Coach Jeff Fisher reiterated that Brian Quick will be counted on for a much bigger role in his second season.

The Rams may draft a movable-chess-piece like Tavon Austin in April, but they're counting on Quick to start on the outside. "We've always said players make their biggest improvement from year one to year two," Fisher said. "Brian's second year in the system, we expect him to (develop). The guy's gonna make a lot of plays for us." The Rams are publicly comparing Quick to Vincent Jackson.

Rams GM Les Snead stated at the Combine that the team expects "more" from 2012 second-round pick Brian Quick in year two.

Quick's production underwhelmed as a rookie, but Snead says he "knew" the transition from D-IAA Appalachian State "would be an issue," and noted that Quick flashed big-play ability. Snead compared Quick to Vincent Jackson, who caught only three passes during his rookie year coming out of small-school Northern Colorado. Quick is a player to monitor closely entering 2013 fantasy season.

Brian Quick was held without a catch in Week 17 against the Seahawks.

Quick was targeted once on a deep ball down the left sideline but that was it for the second-round rookie out of Appalachian State. The No. 33 overall pick appeared in 15 games for the Rams but caught just 11 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Coming into the league, everyone knew Quick was very raw, so we'll look for him to take that next step in 2013. Outside receiver Brandon Gibson is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent, and Quick should have his sights set on taking that job in the offseason. At 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds, he showed the ability to win a couple of jump balls over the course of the season, but his route-running is a major area that needs improvement.

Brian Quick caught two passes for 12 yards and a touchdown in St. Louis' Week 15 loss to the Vikings.

The Rams finally decided to take advantage of their rookie wideout's 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame in the second quarter, lofting him a jump ball in the end zone. Going up against 5-10 CB Josh Robinson, Quick easily pulled it down for his second score of the year. However, his snaps remained extremely limited while the two-catch effort was only his second of 2012. The No. 33 pick is an interesting Dynasty-league case heading into the offseason. He's done just enough to remain a "hold."

Brian Quick caught one pass for six yards in St. Louis' Week 14 win over the Bills.

Quick was on the field for only a handful of plays. His catch came on St. Louis' opening possession of the second half. With 13 games in the books, the first pick of the second round of April's draft has just nine catches for 144 yards.

Brian Quick caught one pass for three yards in St. Louis' Week 13 win over the 49ers.

Quick appeared to be playing more snaps at the expense of Brandon Gibson, but still drew only two targets. Quick has breached the two-catch barrier just once in 11 games, and won't be a fantasy factor down the stretch.
