Kendricks (calf) is considered day-to-day, but will not practice Wednesday, the Philadelphia Daily News reports.

Kendricks was forced out of Monday's game with a calf ailment that will prevent him from practicing Wednesday. However, with his current status being day-to-day, Kendricks holds a chance of being ready to play Sunday against the Redskins. While that decision will likely be made later in the week, Emmanuel Acho and Casey Matthews will receive first-team reps at inside linebacker in the meantime.

Kendricks had to exit Monday's game with calf spasms that won't appear to hinder his availability for Week 3, CSN Philadelphia reports.

Kendricks wasn't able to return to the field Monday, but multiple reports have confirmed that he was only dealing with muscle spasms. Considering that spasms can be nursed back to health within a week's notice, the 24-year-old has a good chance at assuming his starting spot on the field when the Eagles face the Redskins on Sunday.

Eagles ILB Mychal Kendricks has been assisting with defensive play-calling in OTAs.

Fellow ILB DeMeco Ryans called the plays in 2013, but Kendricks is being groomed to potentially help. It could mean anything from Ryans will play less, to the Eagles want Kendricks to be ready if Ryans goes down with injury. Ryans played 96 percent of the Eagles' defensive snaps last season, but was bandied about as a release candidate. Ryans is on the downside of his career, while Kendricks has All-Pro upside.

Eagles ILB Mychal Kendricks battled thumb issues last season and had it placed in a cast for about a month this offseason to let the loose tendons tighten up.

With his hand in a cast, Kendricks worked on his conditioning over the winter and expects to play faster. He also worked on his core strength to help prevent missed tackles. PFF credited Kendricks with a whopping 21 missed tackles in 2013. He's a sideline-to-sideline linebacker with All-Pro potential.

Eagles ILB Mychal Kendricks said he plans to make film study his priority this offseason.

Kendricks has freakish sideline-to-sideline physical tools, and he put them on display during a breakout sophomore campaign. He posted 106 tackles, four sacks, three interceptions, six tackles for a loss and two forced fumbles. Once Kendricks wraps his head around the position, he's going to be an annual All-Pro candidate. "You can only get so fast and so strong, but you cannot stop developing your mind," he said. "It's a more powerful weapon than anything else."

Eagles ILB Mychal Kendricks (knee) did not practice Wednesday or Thursday.

Kendricks' injury is not considered serious, but he's in doubt for Sundays' game against the Redskins. It would leave the Eagles without their most athletic linebacker in a game oddsmakers project to be the highest scoring in Week 11. LT Jason Peters (quad) also hasn't practiced this week.
