Pryor was among the players the Bengals worked out Tuesday, though strictly as a receiver.

The Bengals are desperate in their need for wide receiver help, with A.J. Green probably still out this week and Marvin Jones out for the season. They eventually settled on Greg Little ahead of Pryor.

Pryor was released by the Seahawks on Friday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.

Pryor was competing with Tavaris Jackson for the backup quarterback spot on the Seahawks roster, but appears to have been beaten out. He does have past starting experience and a decent track record with the Raiders, so it's possible he could latch onto another team.

Pryor was 1-of-4 passing for 10 yards Friday, but he ran three times for 59 yards, including a 44-yard touchdown in Seattle's second preseason game against the Chargers.

Pryor is competing for the back up job with Tarvaris Jackson, who did not play. Pryor didn't get much chance to throw because the Seahawks were blowing out the Chargers. His touchdown run was a designed play, and he showed why the Seahawks are taking such a long look at him. Jackson, though, is the incumbent and is more steady, if less dynamic. The Seahawks likely won't keep three quarterbacks.

Seahawks QB Terrelle Pryor isn't interested in learning a new position.

"I don't know how to catch," Pryor said. "I don't know how to run the ball as a running back. I've been a quarterback my whole life." At 6-foot-4, 233 pounds with 4.4 wheels, Pryor is one of the most imposing athletes in the entire NFL, but too rudimentary of a passer to ever be a starting quarterback. Trying out for a "slash" role would likely increase his 53-man roster odds, but like Tim Tebow, Pryor wants to stick at the only position he's ever known. Were Pryor to be cut loose by the world-champion Seahawks, someone else would likely pounce on him as a reserve.

ESPN's Jim Trotter says Terrelle Pryor has a "legit shot" to win Seattle's backup quarterback job.

GM John Schneider said Terrelle Pryor is exclusively learning the quarterback position right now.

Pryor is essentially competing with B.J. Daniels for the third-string job as he's highly unlikely to beat out backup Tarvaris Jackson. In reality, Schneider saw the chance to get an athletic freak and developmental prospect in exchange for a seventh-round pick and pounced. He previously didn't rule out using Pryor in a "slash" role on Sundays.

GM John Schneider didn't rule out using Terrelle Pryor in a "slash" role.

The Seahawks gave up a mere seventh-round pick to acquire an athletic specimen that goes 6'4/233 and ran a 4.38 at his 2011 Combine. It'll be up to the coaches to figure out how to use Pryor. They know he's not going to climb any higher than third on the quarterback depth chart.

The Raiders offseason program begins on Tuesday.

FOX Sports' Alex Marvez reported over the weekend that Terrelle Pryor would likely be waived by Monday if the Raiders couldn't find a trade partner, but Tuesday is the likelier date for the transaction. The team doesn't want Pryor getting hurt at the club facility. Look for the move to happen tomorrow.

Fox Sports' Alex Marvez reports the Raiders will cut Terrelle Pryor Monday if they are unable to trade him this weekend.

Pryor only has one-year and $705,000 dollars left on his rookie contract, so there is a chance someone gives up a late-round pick for him. It is more likely he ends up being cut on Monday. Pryor only completed 57.4 of his passes and threw seven touchdowns to 11 interceptions in nine starts last season. If cut, Pryor has a good shot to latch on with another team as a project/camp quarterback.
