Kevin Kowalski WAS 8 Months
Cowboys OL Kevin Kowalski saw playing time at fullback during OTAs.
Kowalski spent most of last year on the PUP list due to an ankle injury and will need to prove he's healthy to avoid being cut. With Lawrence Vickers (back) questionable for training camp, the Cowboys don't currently have any other fullbacks. Kowalski would be strictly depth if he makes the 53-man roster.

Cowboys activated C Kevin Kowalski from PUP and placed S Matt Johnson on season-ending injured reserve.
Kowalski has been out with an ankle injury since training camp and will add depth behind Phil Costa. He was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo prior to 2011. Johnson, a fourth-round rookie, has been battling a hamstring issue since the summer and didn't play a snap this season.

The Cowboys will activate OL Kevin Kowalski (ankle) from the PUP list next week.
Kowalski hasn't practiced since training camp and likely isn't close to returning. With Phil Costa (ankle) expected to miss at least three more weeks, however, he could be added to the active roster as offensive line depth. The Cowboys have a three-week window to reinstate Kowalski or place him on season-ending injured reserve.
