Lewis signed a two-year contract with the Jets on Tuesday, The Baltimore Sun reports.

Lewis joins the Jets after the team's secondary fell victim to the injury bug last weekend, when rookie Dexter McDougle suffered a torn ACL and No. 1 cornerback Dee Milliner endured a severe high ankle sprain. As such, New York is seeking reinforcements at defensive back and Lewis, who reportedly ran a 4.36 40-yard dash in his tryout, fits the bill to compete for slotting on their depth chart. Lewis has played in eight career games, all of which came during the 2012 season.
