Cowboys released S Mana Silva.

It's a bad sign for Silva that he's getting the boot even though Barry Church (Achilles) is done for the year. The Cowboys will roll with Gerald Sensabaugh, Danny McCray and newly signed Eric Frampton as their only healthy safeties going forward. Corner Brandon Carr may play some safety in sub packages.

Cowboys signed S Mana Silva.

No relation to our own Evan Silva. Mana was an undrafted free agent out of Hawaii that spent time on the Ravens' practice squad this year. He'll serve as depth at safety with Barry Church (shoulder) done for the year.
