Jimmy Wilson DB MIA 24 Days
The Dolphins will keep Jimmy Wilson at safety this season.
He'll likely be Miami's third safety behind SS Reshad Jones and new FS Louis Delmas. Wilson can also cover the slot in nickel packages, though that is a theoretical strength of Cortland Finnegan, as well. Wilson turns 28 in July and is entering a contract year. He may have more value to another team in 2015.

Dolphins DB Jimmy Wilson is focusing solely on safety this season.
Wilson entered the league as a cornerback out of Montana in 2011, and he rotated snaps between both defensive back spots last season. With the additions of Brent Grimes, Will Davis, Dimitri Patterson, and Jamar Taylor over the last few months, Wilson can focus on one position. He'll fill a reserve role behind starters Reshad Jones and Chris Clemons, while playing special teams.

According to the Palm Beach Post, seventh-round DB Jimmy Wilson has already "all but won" a roster spot this summer.
Known as a hard-hitter at the University of Montana, Wilson could make an impact on special teams this season if he indeed makes the team. If he eventually earns playing time on defense, the Dolphins have projected him as a safety after he played cornerback in college.
