Giants SS Tyler Sash was forced from New York's Week 10 game against the Bengals with an ankle injury, and will not return.

Sash was carted to the locker room. He's likely staring at a multi-week absence, at best. It's bad news for a team already missing Kenny Phillips. Will Hill, who opened the game on special teams, should be in for more time on defense.

Giants SS Tyler Sash has been activated from the reserve/suspended list.

He'll take the place of Will Hill, who's been suspended four games for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Sash was suspended the first four games for failing a test related to performance-enhancing drugs, and the Giants had a one-week exemption for him which they utilized before the Browns game. Sash may quickly emerge as a starter while SS Kenny Phillips (knee) heals.

Giants SS Tyler Sash is inactive for Week 5 against the Browns.

Sash was eligible to return, but will remain on roster exempt. The Giants have until Monday to announce a corresponding move. Stevie Brown will start at strong safety in place of Kenny Phillips, who is out with a knee injury.

The Giants don't plan to activate S Tyler Sash (suspension) in time for Sunday's game against the Browns.

Sash is eligible to return after serving a four-game suspension to start the season, but he may not be in football shape yet. With Kenny Phillips (knee) out, the Giants will likely turn to Stevie Brown at strong safety. Will Hill will be the lone safety reserve. New York has until 4PM ET on Saturday to activate Sash and have him for Week 5.

Giants S Tyler Sash's four-game suspension is over.

Sash's return is perfect timing after starting SS Kenny Phillips sprained an MCL against the Eagles Sunday night. If Sash is in shape, he could step right into the starting lineup against the Browns on Sunday.

Giants S Tyler Sash has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's performance enhancing drugs policy.

Last year's sixth-rounder, Sash was expected to replace free agent Deon Grant as the No. 3 safety. He's eligible to play in exhibition games, but will sit out the first month of the season. GM Jerry Reese suggested earlier in the week that Grant could be brought back.
