Dion Lewis RB CLE 2 Months

Eagles traded RB Dion Lewis to the Browns in exchange for LB Emmanuel Acho.

A fifth-round pick of the Eagles in 2011, Lewis lost backup duties to Bryce Brown during training camp last season. Still, he's just 22 years old and has shown flashes while averaging 4.75 yards per carry on 36 career carries. Lewis will try to push Montario Hardesty for the change-of-pace role behind workhorse Trent Richardson in Cleveland.

Dion Lewis RB CLE 6 Months

Dion Lewis rushed three times for 15 yards in the Eagles' Week 17 loss to the Giants.

Lewis entered training camp as LeSean McCoy's primary backup, but he quickly got passed up by Bryce Brown. He ended up rushing just 13 times all season even though McCoy missed four games with a concussion. Lewis will be fighting for a roster spot under a new regime in 2013.

Dion Lewis RB CLE 6 Months

Dion Lewis rushed just one time for three yards in Thursday night's Week 15 loss to the Bengals.

Lewis added one catch on a screen pass, but it was blown up in the backfield for a four-yard loss. With LeSean McCoy nearing a return, Lewis should be relegated back to third-string in the very near future.

Dion Lewis RB CLE 6 Months

Eagles RB Dion Lewis played 26 snaps in Sunday's Week 14 win over Tampa Bay.

Bryce Brown played 50 snaps, so it isn't as if Lewis is suddenly becoming a major threat to the rookie's workload. Lewis only touched the ball twice, though he did play extensively as a pass protector. Lewis remains off the radar in re-draft fantasy leagues. Brown is locked in as the Eagles' primary back.

Dion Lewis RB CLE 7 Months

Dion Lewis rushed twice for 14 yards in Philadelphia's Week 13 loss to the Cowboys.

With Bryce Brown tearing through the Cowboys' front seven, Lewis wasn't needed as a change-of-pace back. Lewis will return to third-string duties once LeSean McCoy (concussion) is healthy.

Dion Lewis RB CLE 7 Months

Dion Lewis rushed five times for 24 yards versus the Panthers in Week 12.

The five carries were Lewis' first touches of the season while working as the No. 2 back behind Bryce Brown. He spelled Brown on occasional early downs due to Philadelphia not wanting to put too much on Brown's plate in his first career start. Lewis will play this role for as long as LeSean McCoy (concussion) is out.

Dion Lewis RB CLE 8 Months

Eagles RB Dion Lewis has been inactive for five of the team's first six games.

There is now trade chatter surrounding Lewis, who's plummeted to fourth on the depth chart in Philly behind LeSean McCoy, and rookies Bryce Brown and Chris Polk. A 2011 fifth-round pick out of Pittsburgh, Lewis could perhaps fetch a seventh-rounder on the trade market. This year's trade deadline is October 30.

Beat writer Tim McManus suggests the Eagles may be willing to listen to trade offers for RB Dion Lewis.

Lewis has been a healthy scratch in four of five games this season, as Bryce Brown has taken over backup duties and Chris Polk contributes on special teams. A potential holdup is that the teams most obviously on the hunt for a tailback need more of a volume sustainer, not a satellite back best used in space.

Dion Lewis RB CLE 9 Months

Eagles RB Dion Lewis is active for the first time this season at Pittsburgh in Week 5.

Bryce Brown is also active, clouding the "handcuff" picture behind LeSean McCoy. Despite speculation to the contrary, WR Mardy Gilyard is active over Riley Cooper. The rest of the Eagles inactives: RB Chris Polk, QB Trent Edwards, LB Akeem Jordan, OL Steve Vallos, DE Vinny Curry, and OL Nate Menkin.
