Keo is yet to play this season and will be replaced on the Texans' roster by Josh Aubrey.

Keo is dealing with a calf injury, which will hold him out for Week 1. As a result, the Texans are expected to start D.J. Swearinger and Kendrick Lewis in their two safety positions.

The Texans will start Shiloh Keo at strong safety during Danieal Manning's absence.
Coach Gary Kubiak hinted the Texans weren't even considering rookie D.J. Swearinger for the role, mentioning both Keo and CB/S Brandon Harris before their second-round pick. Keo started the first two games in place of Ed Reed. He has 14 tackles on the season and will be a low-end DB3 in IDP leagues.

Texans FS Shiloh Keo will start on Monday night against San Diego.
With Ed Reed (hip) a game-time decision, the Texans will be forced to start Keo in their base 3-4 defense. Reed hasn't been ruled out for Week 1, but will be reduced to a limited role if active.
