Roy Helu RB WAS 7 Months

CSN Washington doesn't expect Roy Helu to cut into Alfred Morris' workload in 2014.

Helu had only 62 carries as the Redskins' third-down back this past season. He doesn't project for a major role in the running game behind Morris, though new coach Jay Gruden should get him more involved after running a two-back system with the Bengals last year. Washington is expected to be more of a pass-balanced offense under Gruden, which should increase Helu's snaps. Helu is set to make just $645,000 in the final year of his contract and will return as the clear-cut No. 2 back.

Roy Helu rushed for five yards on three carries in Week 15 at Atlanta.

Helu caught one pass for four yards. There's no reason for him to be rostered in re-draft leagues with Alfred Morris healthy for championship week.

Roy Helu RB WAS 9 Months

Roy Helu totaled seven yards on two touches in Washington's Week 14 loss to the Chiefs.

The touches were Helu's fewest since Week 2. Given sporadic playing time in Washington's increasingly-inept offense, there's little reason to keep Alfred Morris' handcuff around for the rest of the fantasy playoffs.

Roy Helu rushed for six yards on four carries in Sunday night's Week 13 loss to the Giants, adding four catches for 34 yards.

Helu saw heavy snaps in the Redskins' no-huddle offense and was used in all third down and passing situations. He got a rare goal-line carry in the first quarter, but failed to convert. Helu remains a pure handcuff in fantasy leagues. He has just 54 carries and 242 rushing yards through 12 games.

Roy Helu RB WAS 9 Months

Roy Helu rushed for 26 yards on seven carries in Week 12 against the 49ers.

He added one catch for seven yards on his lone target. The seven carries were the most Helu's seen since Week 7, but he didn't do much with them. His most notable carry of the night came on a failed fourth-and-two. It was an odd play call to say the least. Helu remains a pure handcuff for Alfred Morris owners.

Roy Helu RB WAS 9 Months

Roy Helu rushed three times for 39 yards and added three catches for 11 yards in Sunday's Week 11 loss at Philadelphia.

Helu broke off an explosive 24-yard run with the Redskins in all-out comeback mode, but was quiet once again otherwise. He's just not going to get any base carries with Alfred Morris playing so well. Helu has had six or fewer touches in four straight games.

Roy Helu RB WAS 10 Months

Roy Helu rushed twice for eight yards in Washington's Week 8 loss to the Vikings, adding three catches for 23 yards.

Helu got a carry at the Vikings' eight-yard line, but couldn't turn it into his fourth touchdown of the season. Limited to 85 total yards since his three-score outburst in Week 6, Helu remains a pure handcuff for re-draft league purposes.

One week after vulturing three touchdowns, Helu got out-touched 17-6 by Alfred Morris, and out-gained 93-25. Morris scored the Redskins' lone rushing touchdown. Helu still has some appeal as an RB3/4 in PPR leagues, but is a low-end FLEX option in standard formats.
