Dwayne Harris WR DAL 1 Day

Harris was not targeted during Sunday's win over the Titans.

He was a force on special teams, as per usual, but through two games Harris has just two touches on offense, a 56-yard reception and a nine-yard run. Unless injuries shuffle around the Cowboys' depth chart at wide receiver, his main value will come in leagues that count his contributions in the return game.

Harris left Saturday's preseason game with hip and ankle ailments, but suggested he would have continued playing had it been a regular season contest, ESPN Dallas reports.

Harris ripped off kickoff returns of 29 and 50 yards before coming up lame following a 12-yard punt return. While hip and ankle pains were enough to end Harris' night Saturday, he later said that wouldn't have been the case had it been a regular season outing.

Harris was removed from Saturday's game due to a hip injury and didn't return, Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Harris was his usual dynamic self, returning two kickoffs for a combined 79 yards. He reeled off 50 yards on the second one, which eventually ended with a Dan Bailey field goal. However, he was later injured on his only punt return, placing his availability for the remainder of the outing in doubt. He in fact didn't return, leaving his status up in the air for Thursday's preseason finale Thursday against the Broncos.

ESPNDallas reporter Todd Archer believes WR/KR Dwayne Harris' roster spot is in no danger.

Harris could be pushed out of the No. 4 wide receiver slot by rookie WR Devin Street, but Harris' value is as an elite special teams player. He is one of the best return men in the league, averaging 30.6 yards on kick returns and 12.8 on punt returns last season. Despite his real football value, Harris is only a rosterable fantasy asset in return yardage leagues.

Cowboys KR Dwayne Harris (hamstring) resumed practicing Wednesday.

Harris has missed the last two games, leaving Cole Beasley on punt returns and Michael Spurlock on kick returns. The Cowboys are going to need big plays out of special teams if they are going to upset the Eagles Sunday, so getting Harris right would be big. He ranks second in the NFL at 30.5 yards per kickoff return and has averaged a hefty 14.0 yards on his 17 punt returns.
