Torrey Smith was held to just 31 yards on two receptions versus the Colts in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
Smith saw just four of Joe Flacco's 23 passes compared to Anquan Boldin's team-leading seven. While he didn't have much of an impact as a receiver, Smith has several key blocks including Dennis Pitta's 20-yard touchdown and Ray Rice's 47 yard pass play. Torrey Smith was targeted one time on his two series before retreating to the sideline as a spectator in Week 17 versus the Bengals.
Smith got one touch on an end-around, but he lost four yards on the play. With the AFC North already wrapped up for the Ravens, they treated Sunday's game as a preseason contest. The Ravens will be either the No. 3 or 4 seed in the playoffs and will host the Bengals or Colts in next weekend's divisional round. Smith ends the 2012 campaign with 49 catches for 855 yards and eight touchdowns. It's strikingly similar to his 2011 rookie season when he posted 841 yards and seven score on 50 grabs.

Torrey Smith had five catches for 88 yards with a touchdown in the Ravens' Week 16 win over the Giants.
Smith gained clearance just one week after sustaining a concussion and proceeded to eat Giants CB Corey Webster for dinner. He burned Webster to the inside on a slant for a 6-yard score in the first quarter and later put a 43-yard catch on him via a stop-n-go route. It's Smith's first game over 33 yards since Week 12, but this is the real version of his ability. The AFC North champion Ravens wrap up the regular season at Cincy in Week 17.

The Baltimore Sun reports that Torrey Smith (questionable, concussion) is expected to play in Week 16 against the Giants.
Smith was limited in Thursday and Friday's practices. He still needs to pass a baseline neurological test in order to receive full medical clearance, but that sounds likely to happen before Sunday's game. Per the Sun, teammate Bernard Pierce's concussion "is believed to be more serious than Smith's." Consider Smith an upside WR3 against the Giants' porous pass defense in Week 16.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh stated Friday that he's "encouraged" with Torrey Smith's progress in his concussion recovery.
"Yes, I'm encouraged," said Harbaugh of Smith, who participated in Friday's practice and now appears likely to play Sunday against the Giants. Held under 40 yards in four of his last five games, Smith will be a boom-or-bust WR2/3 in Week 16. He does have plenty of speed to run by New York's struggling corners.
