Lewis was released by the Ravens on Friday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran journeyman was signed for depth early midway through the preseason, but with the final roster cuts set for this weekend, the Ravens opted to let Lewis go. Lewis went eight-for-13 for 55 yards against the Saints in Baltimore's preseason finale and finished the night with a 71.0 quarterback rating. With Lewis gone, it could mean that Baltimore will hang onto preseason star Josh Woodrum as the third quarterback.

Lewis signed a contract with the Ravens on Monday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The well-traveled Lewis, who has had stints with seven other teams in seven NFL seasons, will find a new home in Baltimore after spending the 2016 campaign in San Francisco. He'll join the training-camp roster in place of fellow quarterback Dustin Vaughan, who was waived in a corresponding move. Lewis will provide the Ravens with some more experienced depth behind injured starter Joe Flacco (back) during camp, but Lewis seems unlikely to win a 53-man roster spot if both Flacco and top backup Ryan Mallett are both fully healthy by the time Week 1 arrives.

Lewis (knee) recently received full medical clearance and shouldn't face any restrictions when NFL training camps open in July, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis inked a one-year deal with the 49ers last March and was expected to compete for a backup gig, but was removed from the mix after suffering a season-ending torn ACL in the team's preseason opener. With his knee now fully healed, the well-traveled Lewis, who has spent time with seven NFL teams, should draw interest from clubs still searching for a No. 2 or 3 quarterback. Lewis has posted a respectable 82.2 quarterback rating in seven career regular-season games, though he hasn't appeared in a contest since 2013.

Lewis suffered a torn ACL during Sunday's preseason opener and will now miss the remainder of this season, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis was forced out during the third quarter of Sunday's game, when he was the second signal-caller used in wake of Colin Kaepernick (shoulder) being sidelined. However, now that his season has already come to a close, rookie Jeff Driskel should see more reps behind Kaepernick and Blaine Gabbert in practice.

Lewis signed a one-year deal with the 49ers, the Sacramento Bee reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis - who has spent time with the Bills, Browns, and Eagles - has a 60.8 percent career completion rate and a 5:4 TD:INT ratio. In the likely event that the 49ers trade disgruntled quarterback Colin Kaepernick this offseason, then Lewis would immediately be in the mix for a backup role during training camp, assuming the team doesn't bring in another signal caller.

The Eagles have signed Lewis, Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis, who started five games for the Bills in 2013 and one for the Browns in 2012, gives the Eagles a No. 3 QB with more experience than Stephen Morris, who the team released on Monday.

Lewis was released by the Browns on Saturday, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Johnny Manziel (elbow) and Connor Shaw (thumb) both banged up, Lewis looked like a good bet to make the final roster. Shaw was placed on injured reserve, so the Browns presumably expect Manziel to be fine for Week 1.

Lewis threw for 66 yards on 4-of-5 passing, adding two rushes for 11 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's victory over the Buccaneers.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis capitalized on injuries to Johnny Manziel (elbow) and Connor Shaw (thumb) that occurred prior to Saturday evening's contest, as he was allowed to play the better part of the second half. After working with the third and fourth-team offenses for most of camp, the 27-year-old put forth an admirable performance, highlighted by a well-placed deep sideline completion to Josh Lenz. Considering Shaw's thumb injury is expected to sideline him long-term, Lewis should be a safe bet to earn a roster spot as the third-string quarterback behind Josh McCown and Johnny Manziel.

Lewis signed with the Browns on Thursday, Daryl Ruiter of 923 The FAN reports. Heading into training camp, Lewis will likely rank no better than third or fourth on the Browns' quarterback depth chart, as he'll join a collection of signal callers that includes presumptive starter Josh McCown and two second-year players in Johnny Manziel and Connor Shaw. Lewis has bounced around the league the last few seasons as a backup, but does have some familiarity with the Browns' organization. He made a start for Cleveland in Week 17 of the 2012 season, completing 22-of-34 passes for 204 yards, a touchdown, and an interception in a 24-10 loss to the Steelers.

The Texans have waived Lewis, Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports. Lewis, who caught on with the Texans last November after Ryan Mallett was placed on injured reserve, will now look to catch on elsewhere as a depth quarterback.
