Schofield was signed by the Falcons on Wednesday, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schofield appeared in all 16 games for the Falcons in 2015, recording 30 tackles (24 solo), two sacks, and a forced fumble. The former fourth-round pick will likely provide depth at the outside linebacker and defensive end positions without much IDP relevance.

Schofield recorded 30 tackles and two sacks in his first season with the Falcons.
EDGE Analysis
Although it was his first year with the team, it wasn't his first under the tutelage of Dan Quinn, as the pair came over from Seattle in the offseason. Schofield only played in 47.6 percent of defensive snaps, so there's room for improvement if he can get on the field more often in 2016.

Schofield reached an agreement to sign with the Falcons on Thursday. Selected by the Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft, Schofield spent the past two seasons as a reserve for the Seahawks. He's shown flashes of pass-rushing talent when given the opportunity, and the Falcons could certainly use some help in that department. Schofield may thus stand some change to earn a starting job.

Seahawks re-signed OLB/DE O'Brien Schofield to a one-year contract. Schofield, 27, finished the 2013 season with eight tackles and a sack, seeing action at both defensive end positions and some strong-side linebacker in a deep sub-package role. He'll battle for a roster spot in Seahawks training camp.

Free agent OLB O'Brien Schofield worked out for the Titans on Wednesday. Schofield inked a two-year, $8 million deal with the Giants on the opening day of free agency but had the agreement nixed after he failed his physical. He reportedly passed his Tennessee physical Wednesday. Schofield was drafted by new Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt and the Cardinals in 2010.

A source tells NJ.com that the deal between free agent OLB O'Brien Schofield and the Giants is now "dead." The Giants put Schofield through a physical and found a problem with his knee. It's likely related to his 2010 ACL tear sustained during the Senior Bowl. Schofield agreed to terms on a two-year, $8 million deal Tuesday, but we're re-marking him as a free agent for now. Perhaps the two sides will be able to agree on a less lucrative deal that protects the Giants against injury.

The deal between free agent OLB O'Brien Schofield and the Giants is on hold due to medical concerns. After putting Schofield through a physical, the Giants have questions about his knee. He tore his ACL at the Senior Bowl in 2010.

Giants agreed to terms with DE/OLB O'Brien Schofield, formerly of the Seahawks, on a two-year, $8 million contract. Schofield played outside linebacker in Arizona and Seattle during his first four seasons, but will likely play with his hand in the dirt in New York. He has 11.5 career sacks across 40 games. Schofield will also contribute on special teams.

After claiming him off waivers from the Cardinals, the Seahawks renegotiated OLB/DE O'Brien Schofield's contract. Schofield was scheduled to earn a $1.323 million salary, but the two sides agreed to knock it down to the four-year veteran's minimum of $630,000. LBs coach Ken Norton has been impressed with Schofield in the five days he's been with the team, and the lower salary gives him a better chance at a roster spot.

Seahawks claimed OLB O'Brien Schofield off waivers from the Cardinals. Arizona cut ties with Schofield on Thursday after signing John Abraham. It's a nice landing spot for the 26-year-old pass rusher. Seattle is dealing with injuries to some edge players, and Bruce Irvin is facing a four-game suspension to open the season. Schofield has just 10.5 sacks in his three-year career, but he was highly regarded coming out of Wisconsin. The more competition, the better.
