Damian Williams WR MIA 4 Months

Dolphins agreed to terms with WR Damian Williams, formerly of the Titans, on a one-year, $800,000 contract.

He pencils in as the Dolphins' No. 4 receiver. The No. 77 overall pick of the 2010 draft, Williams has caught just 106 passes in four years, but has experience both on the outside and in the slot. Still only 26 (next month), Williams checks in at 6-foot-1, 193 pounds with 4.5 wheels. It's a nice depth signing for a team that's once again been very active in free agency.

Free agent WR Damian Williams visited the Dolphins on Thursday.

It's Williams' first visit of free agency. A career reserve, Williams has caught only 106 passes since being the No. 77 pick of the 2010 draft, but can man both the slot and the outside. Presumably amenable to playing for at or near the minimum, he'd be a nice signing to round out Miami's receiver corps.

Damian Williams caught one pass for 32 yards in Week 17 against the Texans.

Williams, Tennessee's well-rounded No. 4 receiver, missed six games this season and caught just 15 passes for 178 scoreless yards. He's set to be a free agent in March as a soon-to-be 26-year-old. Williams can play outside and in the slot and shouldn't have trouble finding a job.

In addition to Justin Hunter, the Titans deactivated Damian Williams in Week 15 for violating team rules.

This gave Kenny Britt and Michael Preston an opportunity to play more against Arizona. "They broke some team rules," coach Mike Munchak said. "The consequence was that they didn't suit up today." Look for Hunter and Williams to rejoin the game-day roster for Week 16, sending Britt and Preston back to the bench.
