The Chiefs announced the release of Mauga on the same day they acquired linebacker Reggie Ragland from the Bills. Ragland presumably made Mauga expendable in Kansas City. There's a good chance he'll latch on elsewhere considering the veteran presence he would bring with him.

Don't expect numbers like this on a regular basis, however, as Mauga only has 36 tackles on the season and holds minimal IDP value compared to others at the position.
